What is a Colour Analysis?
When it comes to colour, it can be quite confusing especially if it's not something you naturally gravitate toward!
The purpose of today's post is to explain what a colour analysis is and how I use my expertise in colour to find you the right colours to complement your complexion. Keep reading if you like the idea of wearing colour, but you're not sure which colours go well with your complexion.
I'm going to share with you the benefits of knowing your colour season and how I find your colour season!

Here are the benefits of knowing your colour season.
Knowing which colours bring out your natural glow and compliment your skin tone can be quite simply life-changing. I know that sounds dramatic, but it's true!
Wearing colours that are in keeping with your season can reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and enhance your natural glow. By incorporating all of these elements into your wardrobe, you will be able to build your confidence and personal style.
In working with you, we first build a relationship and see what it is that you want to gain from your experience. We then build on your knowledge of colours, which colours complement your skin tone and bring out that all-important glow. You can introduce this element to all aspects of your day-to-day life, not only your wardrobe.
It isn't about forcing you to wear colours that are out of your comfort zone, it is about introducing you to different shades and tints and giving you the knowledge and power to experiment.

Colour is an important part of our everyday lives.
Having the pleasure of working with colour each day is an absolute delight to me and being able to share my expertise and knowledge with others is the icing on the cake.
Having trained at the London College of Style, I have expert hints, tips, and tricks that can help you experiment with colour and wear the colours that make you look and feel amazing.
Many of you will likely wear the same clothes every day, and many of you will reach for the black outfit because you think it makes you look slimmer.
There is no doubt that black can be slimming, however, in many circumstances, it can drain your natural glow and even age you.
Black serves many purposes. It can be a colour of safety, if we are feeling down or unsure it can be our hideaway. It is scientifically proven that wearing the right colours can boost your mood and your confidence, finding the right colours for you is a journey that’s fun and exciting and opens a new door of colourful opportunities.

How do I find your colour season?
1. Identifying if you have a warm or cool skin tone is by far the most important factor. Do you have a natural warm glow to your skin with a peachy, apricot undertone to your skin or maybe you are a cool skin tone having a bluer undertone to your skin!
2. Hair & eye colour are contributing factors to understanding which colour season you fall into! With the seasonal colour analysis, I carry out we focus primarily on the skin tone meaning that when you have your colours analysis experience you get your colour season for life, whether you change your hair in colour or as you age and your colour lightens, your season won’t change, and you will know how to adapt your colours to compliment your new look.
3. Identifying your personality traits is such a fantastic experiment, a short quiz will help us to understand a little more about your personality and it can be fascinating identifying your personality and how it links with your colour season. Are you a sanguine, choleric, phlegmatic, or melancholic?
4. Working with colour drapes is the final piece to the puzzle, we will work together, and I’ll use my colour drapes to see which colours bring out your natural glow. It is a fun experience, you sit back, relax, and let me do all the work. I love it when it all comes together & people start to see how each colour can brighten your eyes and reduce the appearance of any blemishes you may have. I would never colour analyse anybody without draping them, it’s such an important factor of the whole colour analysis experience! As we say in the industry “The drapes don’t lie”
5. Once you know your season you will be given a colour fan which will be your colour bible for life. You can use the fan to choose your style pieces, create spaces in your home interior that light you up, along with your colour fan you’ll receive hints and tips on what hair colour best suits you & which make-up colours will compliment you.
When you start your colour journey, you won’t look back. Seeing how you can use colours to boost your mood, confidence, style and much more!
