Welcome to My Colourful Blog!
Laura Coote is a Mum to three boys based in Cheadle Hulme and an accredited Colour Consultant and Personal Stylist. Today, I spend most of my time teaching clients what colours are their true colours. Colours that bring them joy boost their mood and confidence while supporting them when they need it most. Coffee and a chat with the locals are often in order for me.
Each of us has a predominant colour season which gives us a natural glow, reduces fine lines and blemishes, and energizes or supports us. Regardless of your mood, you can rely on your true colors for support. Let's take a look at how...
How to use your true colours
If you're feeling stressed with work or home-life, I hear you. It's a jungle out there, and we're expected to do so much.
To bring balance to your day if you feel overwhelmed, use a green colour from your colour palette. Green is a colour associated with nature, calm, and balance. Adding green pops to your outfit will ground you and support you.
You might want to use some of your palette's brighter, richer colors if you feel energised and have a full day ahead. It might be a good idea to choose a yellow, but don't panic. Let me explain. The color yellow makes the majority of my clients wince, most of them believing that it isn't suited to them. You can find a yellow tint that complements your skin tone, it's just a matter of finding the right one. The colour yellow is a happy and vibrant colour and is heavily associated with happy times. It is associated with sunshine, the moon and sunflowers, all of which emit a certain amount of happy hormones.
